    Samsung Internet Browser Now Support Other Wear OS Watches

    The official Samsung Internet Browser app has recently launched for Wear OS-3 based Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic. At launching, the browser was only supported for Samsung watches, but now it has been updated for other Wear OS watches. As spotted by Reddit users, major Wear OS watches running on Wear OS 2 received the browser app. Upon that, some users claimed they hadn’t installed Samsung Browser on the paired smartphone. It is a good step by Samsung because Play Store for Wear OS doesn’t have choices when it comes to internet surfing.

    With the browser, users can visit any website to read news, Reddit, or other updates. Also, you can watch YouTube videos from the browser, and yes we have played it too for fun. Wear OS still lacks with YouTube app, so you can use it to watch videos on a tiny screen. It provides features like Add to bookmark, Zoom mode & Show on Phone. Google is by a default search engine that you can change from the settings. On the Galaxy Watch 4, you have to diagonal swipe from the either of the side to reach the corners of a webpage.

    It gives options of keyboard, voice, and gestures to type in the address bar. Samsung doesn’t have any square watches, so it is interesting to see how web pages look & works on such screen. As per Reddit users, the app is now working on Fossil Gen 5 series, Oppo Watch global version, Casio WSD-F30 & Moto 360 3rd Generation smartwatches.     As promised by Spotify, the offline playback feature is now rolling out for Wear OS smartwatches. In the Google I/O event and later in Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 event, we got the hint to get the feature soon. Early than expected, the company has dispatched a needy function to the listening users. It will let you download any playlists or podcasts on their smartwatch and directly listen to the song via Bluetooth headsets or earbuds. It will allow you to leave behind your phone while jogging or in an outdoor workout.

    The Spotify Offline Playback feature is available for Premium as well as free users but with restrictions. The free users can also use it, but they can only download Podcasts. To download music playlists & songs users need to upgrade to the Spotify Premium subscription. The process is simple. Download the Spotify app from Play Store, and choose the songs or albums you want to get offline. Finally, tap on the Download button, and it will be saved on your watch to listen to in the future.

    As we checked on various forums, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, TicWatch Pro 3 & Oppo Watch are currently receiving the app update. The other Wear OS watches received it in the US & in some European countries. And Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic are getting in South Korea.     Oppo Watch has set to get a new system update which brings several new functionalities. The watch has released in March, this year and now the company rolling out new updates. The update has aimed at bringing new features like WeChat replies, access control function, support for boarding passes, and many more. It will further enhance user convenience and let them manage things from the wrist.

    The update carries the number A.38 and needs a companion app Oppo Health app v.2.6.2 or the above version to integrate the new features. This update shows the company’s commitment to add relevant features and make the device more competitive. Further, to accommodate this update user needs a smartphone which runs on Android 6.0 or above with the Android Auto app installed.
