    Mi Band 5 Update Tracker: New V1.0.2.76 Update Now Rolling Out

    Update (04 July): Again Xiaomi took the time to release new software for the fifth generation tracker. It is now releasing firmware version V1.0.2.76 for the Mi Smart Band 5 in major countries. The last update for Band 5 was released at the end of August 2021. It means almost after a year, the company released a new version. As changelog only mentions fixing some bugs, we can’t expect anything new in the update. For better performance, install new software on your smart band.

    Update (30/08): After a long gap, Xiaomi’s fifth-gen Mi Band 5 is getting a new firmware version. The latest software comes with firmware version V1.0.2.66 to the wristband. With the latest piece of code, the company has enhanced the user interface which is smooth & faster in loading. As per some users, you can see menus & functions load much faster.

    It doesn’t bring any new functionality to the activity tracker. To check for the latest update, make sure you are on the latest Mi Fit app version. Later, you will get notified on your smart tracker.

    Original News: Xiaomi is now releasing the latest version of the tracker in all the major countries. The new version identified as V1.0.2.46 now rolls out to provide more stability and to improve the overall quality of the Mi Band. The changelog doesn’t reveal anything about the new version, so we have to dig more into the Mi Fit features or the tracker. The last version with major changes had dispatched with REM sleep and camera remote control features, but this one is not the major one.

    As per the leaked source code & the data from other sources, Xiaomi will soon launch a new body temperature function to measure it and compare it with other external devices. It says the features will not only available for Mi Band 5 but also for Mi Band 2, Mi Band 3, Mi Band 4 & Amazfit Band 5. At this point, we don’t have too much information about the major changes in the upcoming firmware, so we have to wait a while for its dispatch.

    To get the V1.0.2.46 update, you have to install the Mi Fit app to the newer 4.8.0 app version. Later, open the Mi Fit app, go to your Xiaomi band, and then head to Check for Updates. The new firmware version is available to install in major countries including the US, the UK, India, and many other countries.

The Chinese version already has received its first version, where it had enabled Camera Remote control function. It is not the case with the international version as the camera controller is enabled since the first day. The global model gets firmware version 1.0.1.32 that brings two major features to the fitness tracker.

    After the update, Mi Band 5 can now automatically detect the exercise mode. Xiaomi has added a new automatic motion detection feature, which will detect your current exercise mode. It is a good function for the users when they forget to start the workout mode while exercising. Many companies are now introducing Detect Activity feature on their smartwatches & smart bands like recently Huawei Watch GT 2 & Honor MagicWatch 2 have received it. It is good that Xioami has brought it to the Mi Band 5.

    Apart from that, there is a new option to press & hold the watch faces to set the dial. You can activate these features from Settings – More options. Finally, the new battery percentage indicator for the faces has launched on both Mi Band 4 & Band 5 trackers. The update is now available in all the major countries, where both these smart bands available. To install the latest firmware updates, you have to update the Mi Fit app to 4.4.0 version on the paired smartphone.

This time the Mi band 4 is receiving V1.0.9.48 that comes with the Activity heart rate sharing feature. Along with this change, there is now a redesigned Band Display Settings section in the Mi Fit app after the new app version V1.1.0. Second, the company allows you to rate the watch faces in the store so the developers should know which one is favorite, and which one should need some work.

    The Activity heart rate tracking is not new to the Mi Band 4, since the Band 3 it is available for users. Though, after the launch of Band 4, the company removed it from the fitness tracker without giving any proper reason. Now, version V1.0.9.48 has brought it back. With the feature that appeared in Mi Fit app, you can share your heart rate data with other smart devices. When you enable the function, then with Bluetooth pairing, the band shares data with smartphones, smart devices, and also with apps like Apple Health. It is also helpful to share your heart rate report with your personal doctor.

Also, you can store watch face in the favorite section for later usage, and finally, you can rate the watch face from 1 to 5 value. The update is now live in India & Vietnam soon will enter in other regions. To get the latest version, you have to upgrade the Mi Fit app to the V1.1.0 version from the Play Store & iOS App Store. After the laptop unlocks update, it is another update in April that brings some changes to the app & tracker.

The Mi Band 3 & Mi Band 4 are getting new updates that now allows them to unlock your laptops. Since the November, it is the first time both trackers have received some changes. Mi Band 4 gets new updates every month to fix some issues but not received any new function. Now, Mi Band 4 has jumped to V1.0.9.42 version from the previous V1.0.9.34 firmware. As some users noticed there is a minor improvement in the step counter & the company has taken care of ghost steps.

    The new function that allows you to use your band to unlock laptop is quite useful. It supports Windows 10 running laptops and currently available for Indian users.     Xiaomi has started to seed a new software update on its Mi band 4 fitness tracker that adds auto screen off feature. Since, the last few weeks, users were talking about the latest version and finally, they have a chance to use it in real. The users in Turkey are first to witness the new firmware on their modern tracker. The firmware version 1.0.7.04 is now pushing that can change the behavior of screen time out. Users can alter the screen time out setting as they need and by default, it will set to 5 seconds. The other settings in the screen time out delay is 6,7,8,9 & 10 seconds.

    In the last software, Xiaomi has added custom watch faces & improved swim tracking to the wearable. As per the user’s demand, Mi asked users to submit their favorite watch faces that they want to see on their bands.

    Samsung has pushed new software update for Galaxy Fit e tracker that added couple of features to enhance the performance. The new firmware version is R375XXU0ASI3 and only counts 1.81MB in size. The new version has added three main features to the tracker. The first two features are – new clock shape, and the brightness & timeout settings have been added. The third one is – heart rate measurement settings has added to the tracker with the 10 minutes default setting. In addition, Samsung has added few new watch faces to the band to customize the look. You can install & set these new watch faces using the Galaxy Wearable app.

    The update is currently rolling out in Turkey via OTA and soon it will hit in other markets. To get the latest update on your Samsung Galaxy Fit e, go to Wearable app, then open Settings and upgrade your band to the latest software.

    The Galaxy Fit e is now available in all major countries including India. It has improved a lot compare to the previous Gear Fit series. It is the second most important update since it had been released in May, in the selected countries.     Xiaomi has released a new update for Mi Band 4 to improve its quality. The update was released in China that brings more than 18 custom watch faces on the fitness band and improved swim tracking score. The small firmware is hitting on the band with version 1.0.6.16 to improve the overall quality & it is now available in China for both NFC & non-NFC versions. The users reported swim tracking has improved a lot, and you will see the difference under the water.

    Earlier, the company has conducted data for the new watch faces to introduce them to the fitness band. Users had a choice to choose watch faces design from different categories & submit them. The options were Anime, technology, business & game themes and now you will see all those shortlisted custom watches faces in the library. Most of the users have chosen anime & game characters, and some have chosen watch faces that cab shows essential details on the main screen.
