    Garmin Released Minor 22.85 Beta Update for Fenix 6

    In the new beta 22.85 version, Garmin has fixed some minor issues for the Fenix 6 series. The latest beta version has been dispatched today and users can now download it. As we can check the changelog, the list of fixes has reduced compared to the previous version, which means the company has taken care of many issues. The major fix in the update is with the Music Player & Garmin Pay app. The sudden shutdown while using the Music Player & Garmin Pay was a major problem for some users, and now it has been fixed.

    There are three other fixes regarding the UI of some services. The potential UI problem with the Strength activity tracker, HRV status tip message, and Acute load history graph has finally been solved. In the changelog, you will see another fix, but it is not for the Fenix 6 series watches. To download the latest 22.85 beta version, go to the GCM app on your Android or Apple smartphone.

    Stable 22.10 Firmware Version Released for Fenix 6 Series

    Since the last few updates, Garmin has been continuously releasing stable software updates for Fenix 6 series. The last 21.80 version was released with plenty of fixes and a couple of new features. Now, Garmin is releasing a 22.10 firmware update for Fenix 6 series. It is also a stable version, and its main focus is to squash some known bugs. It has fixed an issue where ‘Battery in Days’ reports zeroes in Connect IQ app.

    This battery reporting issue was supposed to fix in the previous version, but it is still carried in a new version. It is still mentioned in the changelog, and hope this time it has been solved. Incorrect value in cycling VO2 Max will now show you correct results.

    The false reporting in walk/run/idle total time didn’t equal total time displayed on a watch and Garmin connect has been fixed. Further, the golf courses will load without failing when you start them. You can read the whole 22.10 changelog for Fenix 6 series below.

    Fixed an issue where Run/Walk/Idle total time didn’t equal Total Time displayed on watch/Garmin Connect (now all times when totaled should match Total Time).


    Fixed an issue where a user could not delete a Strength workout from the device.


    Fixed an issue with Metronome hotkey not working in the Walk activity.


    Fixed an issue in the Jumpmaster activity where the listed elevation data would not properly update.


    Fixed an issue that could prevent the device from booting up properly.


    Fixed a possible crash when completing Strength workouts that didn’t have any rep counting steps.


    Fixed an issue where “Battery in Days” would report 0 in Connect IQ apps.


    Fixed an issue causing incorrect cycling VO2 max values.


    Fixed an issue where golf courses could fail to load.


    Other minor improvements and bug fixes.

    Garmin Adds New HIIT Workouts on Fenix 6 & Marq Series

    Garmin has today released the latest 19.74 public beta update for Fenix 6 & Marq series watches. The new firmware has brought new workout modes and improvements to the current features. Unlike, the previous updates, which only launched to fixed various issues, the 19.74 beta version adds new workout profiles to these smartwatches. Garmin has included a HIIT activity profile and workouts along with snowshoe and tennis activities. The high-intensity interval training or HIIT workouts will challenge you and take your exercises to another level.

    The snowshoe and tennis workouts are popular, and it is good to see them on Garmin watches. To add the workout modes on your Fenix or Marq watches, go to the Garmin Connect app. In the app, open the Menu – Training – Workouts – Create a Workout, and choose workout type. In this option, set up a new workout, and save it.

    Further, the watch will now alert you about low battery life while music sync, so you should take action accordingly. The SpO2 measurement loading UI & Explore Sync app waypoint load times have been improved in the new update.

    Fenix 6 19.74 Beta Update

    Furthermore, users will see enhancement in alarms that not going off when the watch is set on Max, Battery Mode. Also, the new piece of code comes to fix Connect IQ to improve its performance.

    The new 19.74 beta firmware is available for Fenix 6, Fenix 6 Pro, Fenix 6s, Fenix 6s Pro, Fenix 6x Pro, and Marq series smartwatches. To install new firmware, you have to download the zip file on your computer and follow the given instructions.
