    Galaxy S10 Series Gets Night Mode Update on T-Mobile

    The unlocked Galaxy S10 models in the US are now getting August security patch on all carriers, except T-Mobile. The T-Mobile users in the US are now receiving a Night Mode update for their unlocked Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ & Galaxy S10e. The telecom operator is the last one that brings these features to Galaxy S10, S10+ & S10e smartphones. In June, AT&T was the first operator to release night mode update for US smartphones and later seeded to Galaxy Note 9 & Galaxy S9 & S9+. The latest firmware G97*U1UEU2ASGB has released for Galaxy S10 series. The firmware ends with ASGB is for night mode update & all the three Galaxy S10 models are now receiving it.

    The update carry July security patch, even when most of the other smartphones have received August security patch. The most crucial change in the changelog is dedicated night mode & QR scanner features have been added to the devices. In the last few months, it is one of the essential software updates for the customers. It is the reason every customer wants night mode function on their smartphones so they can increase the capabilities of the camera in night shooting.

    To check for the latest update, go to Settings and then open a Software update to install it manually. The August security update is now rolling out for unlocked Samsung Galaxy s10 series devices in the US. If you are on another carrier then you may have received notification for the latest version. The T-Mobile users may get the August patch in the next phase.

    Sprint is now releasing the June security patch for Samsung Galaxy S10+ smartphones in the US. The update brings the manual Night Mode function to the camera and QR Code scanning for Wi-Fi sharing. It is the third telecom operator to bring these features to the Galaxy S10+ device. Previously, AT&T & Verizon have issued both features to these Samsung devices with Night Mode function. Users have waited more than usual time to get these features. It is almost July end and users are receiving June Update. Even Galaxy S10 5G smartphone has received all these features along with July security patch.

    The new firmware version G975USQU2ASG8 is released which is 509MB in size. As per the report, only Galaxy S10+ is getting this update and other Galaxy S10 smartphones may join soon. In the other countries, all Galaxy S10 devices are receiving Google’s July security patch so US variants are behind the schedule to get new software.

    Galaxy S10+ Update

    Samsung has firstly introduced Night Mode & QR Code functions to Galaxy S10 devices in the May update. Later, these features come to the Galaxy S9 duo, Note 9 & Galaxy A50 smartphones. The update has now spread into all major countries. Later, AT&T became the first operator to release these functions to all the Galaxy S10 version, followed by Verizon on the next day.     Samsung Galaxy S10 Exynos users are the first ones to enjoy dedicated night mode on their new smartphones. Now the latest June update with the firmware version G973USQU2ASF6 for Galaxy S10 & G975USQU2ASF6 for Galaxy S10+ is headed to the US, and AT&T is the first carrier to release it for its users. The update is available for Galaxy S10, & Galaxy S10+ models. The version brings dedicated Night Mode as well as QR scanner to these premium smartphones. Now users don’t have to use the Bixby vision to scan QR codes.

    The latest version also added vibration feedback for navigation gestures, allowing users to use an extra screen inside the app by hiding the standard Android navigation bar. Samsung has recently updated all their flagship phones with these features. The Galaxy S9, S9+, Galaxy Note 9 and even mid-range smartphones, Galaxy A50 has received these dedicated Night Mode feature.

    Samsung has released an important update to its last year’s flagship phones – Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ to bring them closer to the Galaxy S10 series smartphones. The main feature into the latest software is ‘Night Mode,’ added to the camera, which was only available for Galaxy S10 models. The 574MB update comes with June 2019 android security patch along with another couple of features. The firmware G965FXXU5CSF2 is now rolling out on the Galaxy S9+ Exynos model & G960FXXU5CSF2 is available for Galaxy S9. The update is now available to download in Philipines, Thailand & Vietnam.

    Apart from the Night Mode function, the performance of the camera has improved and added Background blur intensity bar for better selfies. You can adjust it with eight intensity levels while using the Live focus mode.

    The new version has enhanced the usability of QR code reader and improved experience of messaging, contacts, and Gallery. Samsung also cared about the security of the device and improved it with the latest security patch.

    Last time, Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ received an Android Pie update, which was their big updates this year. Since then, we can say it is the important update users were expecting from the company.     Samsung hasn’t clear when it will re-launch Galaxy Fold into the market. It might take another month or a month & half for its reappearance & Samsung media person has already declared that they are doing their best to make it happen in the next month. Though there are some customers who are losing their patience and cancelling their pre-orders. Now to stop them from cancelling their Galaxy Fold pre-orders, company is now sending reward points to all the customers. As per the 2 points for $1 purchase value, customers are getting points for their spending on the Fold. Customers can get maximum $20 ($1=200 points) value of points on single purchase and they can redeem them later. Many customers have been complaining on Samsung forum and other portals so company has decided to give reward points as goodwill gesture.

    We don’t think reward points will change mind of customers as they have invested nearly $1980 on the product, which is too expensive than any other smartphone. Still the news, customers can use these reward points on their checkout when they purchase Samsung products from the official website. Anyway, if you have pre-ordered Galaxy Fold then you can check for your reward points in your Samsung account.

    Last week, Samsung has sent email to all the customers who have been pre-ordered Galaxy Fold. In the email it had clearly said users must confirm to keep their orders to avail the product when it available into market. Later in the interview, Samsung spokesperson said company is working to release it in the next month. There is no fix date for the release but we think Samsung may soon announce the date.

    This time Galaxy Fold is again in the production house for testing and changing some parts to make sure this time everything goes well. Samsung is focusing on main issue of device so it could prevent from damaging screen from outside dust and other obstacles. This time protective layer will be made of better screen protector so users will use it for longer than just one day.     There are the issues regarding durability of the screen of Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone, just after the device was available for the reviewers. They reported the issue about breaking of the display. This issue raises the question about the sustainability of the screen of the foldable device and it’s response to repeated foldings and unfolding. It is obviously a matter of concern for the Samsung so right after the issue Samsung asked all users to return Galaxy Fold.     After the response from reviewers, Samsung committed to thoroughly inquire into the issue. Samsung statement assures that it will inspect all theses units in order to find the cause of damage. Due to the issue, Samsung postponed the shipment of all pre-orders of the device until the issue has been resolved completely. In the email Samsung apologized to all its customers and requests to confirm their order.

    Reports from the significant portion of the media who got early access to the device mentions that screen has broken and half of the screen goes completely black. However, there are speculations that the issue happening due to the removal of the protective layer of the screen that comes with the device. Samsung mentioned that this protective layer is to save the screen from unwanted scratches and removing it may cause damage.

    Samsung apologizes for the delays happened in the shipment of Galaxy Fold device and provides the option of order cancellation for those who can’t wait much long. If you don’t cancel your orders before device is being shipped, then if the devices are not shipped by 31st May all the pre-orders will be cancelled automatically. For the Galaxy S10+ the firmware version is G975FXXU1ASD5/G975FOXM1ASD4/G975FXXU1ASD4 and it weighs 205.18MB in size.

    The latest update is intended to improve the stability of Wi-Fi as well as the performance of the camera of theses devices. However in the previous update Samsung added the dedicated night mode to camera of the devices and improved biometric security patch to solve the fingerprint issue. The update is now rolling out in Europe and the users can download it on their respective devices.
