    Confirmed: One UI 4 Beta Program will Open for Galaxy S10 & Note 10

    This week, we had discovered Beta testing firmware for the Galaxy S10 & Note 10 series devices. Now, we can confirm that both devices will participate in the beta testing program for One UI 4 version. The Beta Operation Manager at South Korea has officially confirmed it to the Galaxy S10 users. Also, the other moderator had already confirmed it for Galaxy Note 10 series. As per the previous answer, the beta testing program for these devices will start from December.

    As per the official Android 12 schedule, both devices will get stable One UI 4 update in January 2022. The beta program for the users will start in all the selected countries, and the official banner will be posted on Samsung Members app. We will inform you when Samsung open the beta program for Galaxy S10 & Note 10 devices.

    Both the devices were also part of One UI 3 beta testing program and received Android 11 update. Samsung has already mentioned these devices will get major updates for three years and this year might be last for them. It is good that Samsung has considered about these old flagship models.

    The latest firmware spotted for Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+ indicates Samsung is preparing the One Ui 4 Beta version. The Galaxy Note 10 series is the flagship model from 2019, and according to the Samsung official, it will get 3 major updates. At launch, it was running on the Android 10 version, so it is eligible for the Android 12 update. In the initial firmware building, the software version N971NKSU2ZUKD for Note 10 & N975NKSU2ZUKD for Note 10+ has come into the light.

    The One UI 4 beta program has started in mid-September and still running on new flagship models. The Galaxy S21 is now receiving stable Android 12 updates in many countries, but the remaining are still in beta testing. This week, Samsung has opened a beta program for Galaxy Z Fold 2 & Z Flip smartphones. After all these devices, the Galaxy Note 10 is the flagship model in the market. Probably in the waiting line for the beta version.

According to the statement, the first region to get the latest firmware update will be Europe.

    It’s not all, Samsung rep has also mentioned the devices will get the moon animation function in camera night mode. In the answer to the query of the Galaxy Note 10 user, he/she confirmed the moon animation for camera night mode will be added in the next major firmware. It is the moon-shaped night mode indicator in the camera app. The One UI 3.1 update based on the Android 11 version has amazing features like changing the screen, minimize unnecessary apps, faster app opening, management function for attending meetings, better privacy, and more.

    It is not the only lineup that has been postponed. The third beta update for Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+ also has been postponed to the next week. Luckily, Galaxy Z Fold 2 users in South Korea have received a second update this week, so the overseas users will get it soon. The main reason for the firmware delay is some issues in the Samsung Pass, and the official team is working on it.     The firmware version N97*NKSU1ZTKE weighs 567 MB in size along with the November security patch, now released for Galaxy Note 10 series. The changelog mentions there was more than one serious issue in the first beta. Along with faster battery drain, the second beta resolves automatic Wi-Fi disconnection, fixes wearable compatibility, error in SSID recognition, and unusual shut down in many cases.

The Galaxy Note 10 & Galaxy Z Flip had received One UI 3.0 beta version, but that didn’t go well.

    The new beta version for previous flagship phones had postponed due to the serious issues like faster battery drain, app crashes and problems with S Pen. After noticing these big issues, Samsung pulled it back and requested users to not install it. The official Galaxy Note_Fold moderator has also confirmed the faster battery drain issue in the user’s reply. The new version, N97*FXXU1ZSL7 is for Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+, and N976NKSU1ZSL7 for 5G version, with 136 MB size, are now pushing out in South Korea & India. Samsung has confirmed in the official statement that the stable Android 10 will release before the end of the year.

    The issue when switching to landscape mode during subscription setting & clipboard edge is not displaying has fixed. The lock screen goes black after the fingerprint unlocks the main concern for Galaxy S9 duo & now on Galaxy Note 10 series; thus the company sets it in the latest software. It is the same guy who has a record to announce the accurate dates of Android 10 beta updates. The fixed release date has not unveiled yet, but the other guy with the user name Galaxy3813 has mentioned that stable update would release before December 25. He is a brand ambassador at the Samsung Community forum & helping others in beta testing.

    The Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+ are now running on the 3rd beta version and the upcoming 4th beta will be the last one in South Korea. The beta community manager has also confirmed that the Galaxy Fold is not going to get the beta version. Last week, the company has declared any Galaxy A series devices will not get the beta version, instead, they will get a stable version.

    Samsung has today launched a new app called Theme Park as a family member of Good Lock. With the help of Theme Park users can create their themes to set on their smartphones or tablets. Currently, the app only supports on Android 10 version. That means, at the moment, Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note 10 series, Galaxy S9 & S9+ and Galaxy Note 9 users running on Android 10 beta version can download & install it. Galaxy S10 series devices are now getting a stable Android 10 version so they may experience better results.

    How to use: Open the Theme Park app and then select the image from the Gallery to set as theme. After selecting an image, choose the main colors & styles from the tabs at the bottom and click the install. When the installation is complete, select the generated theme and press apply. You can also see the preview before applying the theme. The Theme Park much similar to the Samsung’s My Style app for Galaxy Watches, where you can capture the image & make your own watch faces.

    It is the first version so it may not match with actual themes. Samsung has promised to release more updates in the coming days to match the real themes.

    The One UI 2.0 Beta with Android 10 for Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+ phones are coming soon to the USA & Germany. The official Samsung team has posted the banner on the forum of the Samsung community and revealed it. Yesterday, the official banner has posted in South Korea about the announcement. The post on the Korean Samsung community also mentions Galaxy Note 5G series will also get the Android 10 Beta version in the coming days.

    In both the countries Unlocked users will first get a chance to test the Beta version before other carriers. In the US, Sprint & T-Mobile Galaxy S10 customers were lucky to install the beta version in the first phase, but for the Galaxy Note 10 series, it is only unlocked users. The customer executive at Samsung Germany has mentioned that Samsung will open One UI 2.0 based Android 10 Beta on October 24. If this is true, then tomorrow (Oct 24) we may see launching banner with register link in the Samsung Member app.

    To join the Beta program, first, register to the Samsung Members app. On all Samsung smartphones, the Samsung Member app comes pre-installed. If not then download it from Play Store. Last time, the Beta version for Galaxy S10 was available only for limited users. It is not clear for Galaxy Note 10 users whether it is available for all unlocked customers or only for the first few customers.     The Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones will soon get the One UI 2.0 Beta with Android 10. The official banner has now posted by Community Manager in Samsung Member’s app in South Korea. It has confirmed the beta version is “Coming Soon” in the country for the Galaxy Note 10 5G & Note 10+ 5G. Samsung has already delayed the Note 10’s Android 10 Beta program due to some internal problems. It supposed to release on October 21 in the first place but that didn’t happen. Now the official post from the Samsung team will assure the Android 10 Beta version is coming soon for the Note 10 series.

    Other Galaxy S10 series smartphone users are now slowly getting their hands on the beta program. It is now available in South Korea, Uk, Germany, Poland, Spain & in the US. The Indian Galaxy S10 users have to wait for a while to test the version as it has postponed for a later date. First, it had scheduled to October 21st along with other few countries but due to the errors, it has now delayed without any confirmed date.

    The first update for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G & Note 10+ 5G is now rolling out to improve call quality & earphone quality of the device. The new firmware version G971NKSU1ASH6 for Note 10 5G & G976NKSU1ASH6 for Note 10+ 5G is now releasing with the latest Google’s August security patch. The software is 116MB in size on Note 10 5G & 132MB in size on Note 10+ 5G model.

    It also fixes the lock screen issue by resolving the top bar burn-in in Always on Display mode and improving after image phenomenon on the lock screen.
