Samsung Galaxy Jean 2 Launched in South Korea

The new affordable smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Jean2 (SM-A202K) has officially released in South Korea and KT has started to sell it from its official website. In the international market, Galaxy A20 & Galaxy A20e are known as Galaxy Wide4 & Galaxy Jean2 (Via Sammobile) respectively. Last year, KT was selling Galaxy jean as an exclusive smartphone and now it is selling the second generation Jean2 in its stores & online. The smartphone is now available to purchase from today, June 4, for 2,53,000 ($214) won to get 32GB memory & 3GB RAM version. Currently, it is available in Black & White color options with Infinity V-display.
To promote Galaxy Jean2 aka Galaxy A20e, KT has offered 10GB of KT shop direct data coupon when you sign up to OnTalk or Y24 OnTalk service plans. There is a 50% discount on the premium family combination for ‘Data on Video’ and ‘Data on Premium’ when you consume minimum monthly data on these services. Customers can use pick up services to get their ordered smartphone from the nearest KT store.
The Galaxy Jean2 is a 5.8-inch smartphone with a single 8MP camera on the front and 13MP & 8MP dual-camera on back. Samsung recently updated it with the latest Android Pie version which carries One UI interface. It is KT exclusive smartphone in South Korea so soon we may see Galaxy Wide4 from the SK Telecom operator.

Samsung Galaxy Fit Goes Official, Available for Pre-Orders
The new Samsung Galaxy Fit fitness tracker now goes official and Spain, Italy, Netherland & South Korean users are the first to get their hands on. Samsung official said in these countries Galaxy Fit will start to ship from tomorrow, May 31st. In South Korea, customers can get Galaxy Fit from Samsung Digital Plaza as well as the Samsung website for the price 118,800 won. In Spain, Italy & Netherland, it is available to purchase for €99 through the offical Samsung website & the tracker will start to ship from tomorrow. The Galaxy Fit also officially announced in Japan and Amazon.jp is started taking pre-orders with June 13 release date.
Along with Galaxy Fit, the other Fit e smart band is on pre-orders in South Korea. Galaxy Fit e has already available in some European countries with €39 price tag & in South Korea, Galaxy Fit e is priced at 49,500 won. In Japan, Galaxy Fit available for 12,830 Yuan through the Amazon website though Fit e is yet to be launched in Japan.
In these two, Galaxy Fit is much expensive because of its advanced fitness-related features. It has the ability to display a dual clock watch face when a user enters into a different time zone. The larger 120mAh battery & NFC onboard are the main advantages of the Galaxy Fit over Fit e band. This tracker has a 0.95 full-color AMOLED display and available in Black & Silver color options. The smart wearable provides enhanced sleep monitoring and smart stress management.
The simple UX allows users to receive messages & alerts without touching their phones. Both Samsung smart bands are water resistance up to 5 ATM so they won’t damage in such conditions. Users can select more than 90 different activities in the Samsung Health app on their smartphones & the tracker will automatically log to chosen workout. Samsung introduced both smart bands in February along with Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy S10 series & Galaxy Fold devices. Samsung may Postpone Release date of Galaxy Fold
Samsung Galaxy Fold was expected to launch in June, but the latest announcement from the company confirms its postponement (Source: Yonhap News Agency) due to some issues such as screen breaking and quality stabilization work. Company is offering a device to mobile operators in June and is testing network interworking. Company official remarked that “Samsung has learned from the scratch issue and stabilizing the quality of parts including film and display is quite time-consuming process.”

Though there is strong possibility of announcement of launch of Galaxy Fold in this month and release in next month, hardware stabilization work might be slower than expected. Samsung is expected to announce release schedule in next month and probably domestic launches will be prior to US launches. According to the company official “the schedule for the launch is not yet finalized and company is in position to announce it in few weeks.”
Samsung is constantly working on the quality improvement of the Galaxy Fold as it came across with the issue of screen breaking of the device. Earlier, Samsung offered the option of cancellation of pre-orders by the customers. Samsung announced that if customers don’t cancel their pre-orders before phones are shipped then all the orders will be cancelled automatically by 31st May.
Last week, Best Buy cancelled all the purchase reservation for the device citing the reason of delay in announcement of the new launching date by the company. Previously, to stop customers from cancelling their pre-orders and wait for the official announcement, company offered reward points to all the customers. Samsung Pushes Android Pie Update for Galaxy M30
Last week Samsung announced it would launch latest Android Pie to their M series smartphones in the first week of June. But to surprise all the Galaxy M30 users, Samsung has released new Android Pie update before one week. The Galaxy M30, was launched after the Galaxy M20 & M10 though it is the first to get new version. Still, we haven’t got or heard new update for Galaxy M10 & M20 so this one is the first M series smartphone to get the latest version. The new update brings M305FDDU1BSEA/M305FODM1BSEA/M305FDDU1BSE6 firmware and downloads 1144.25 MB weight. The new Pie update is currently rolling out in India with latest May 2019 Android security patch.
Anyway, this is the good news for Galaxy M30 users that they can taste new version with Samsung’s new One UI interface. It brings new look & new feel for the devices and easy to access all the important features. The digital Wellbeing, Bixby Routines, Night Mode, Floating Mode, Scene optimizer for the camera and pre-installed Amazon Prime Video and many other features have been added into the update. The popular company named Caviar Royal Gift is now taking pre-orders for its Gold plated, Samsung Galaxy Fold Game of Thrones edition. Previously company has created special editions of iPhones, Galaxy Note 9 & Apple Watch devices. We know Galaxy Fold is not available into the market at this moment but Caviar company has said before returning its Galaxy Fold it has created special Game of Thrones edition of it, on the name for world’s most popular TV series.
Company has also uploaded promo video on its official YouTube channel. This special edition inspired by “The Winds of Winter” of Gold version is priced at $8,200 with free worldwide shipping. First Galaxy A70 Update Improves Camera & Fingerprint Performance
Samsung Galaxy A70 has received its first update in India, which improves overall performance of the device. The main aim of the new software is to enhance its camera & fingerprint performance. The lower models, Galaxy A50 & Galaxy M20 has received same update last month and now it came to new Galaxy A70 smartphone. The new firmware version is A705GMDDU1ASE4 and counts 376 MB in size. The new security patch level May 2019 has been added in the latest version to enhance its security.
The Beauty Video Mode is the feature that has been added with Accidental touch protection, which is new to the Galaxy A70. As per changelog, after the update camera picture quality will improve. Update for Galaxy Buds Fixed Sound Loss Issue of Right Earbud
The important update for Samsung Galaxy Buds has resolved issue of the right earbud. It has fixed sound loss on one side of the earbuds during ambient sound mode. The new changelog with firmware version R170XXU0ASE1 is now rolling out to fix the issue and it weighs 1.35 MB. Since the last major update, most Buds customers have been complaining about the right earbud problem, which always stuck at low volume, for some it stuck to 1% volume. This issue was not there when Samsung had launched Galaxy Buds, it may have come up with recent software version.

Massive One UI Update Comes to Galaxy Watch, Gear S3 & Gear Sport
Samsung has just released its new One UI update to its older smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch, Gear S3 & Gear Sport are the lucky watches to get the One UI flavour. Galaxy watch Active was the first smartwatch to taste it since the its launching with latest Tizen 4.3 version. New Galaxy A50 Update Improves Camera Performance & Wi-Fi Connectivity
To make it more competitive to the other A series devices, today Samsung rolled out another update to the Galaxy A50 smartphone. This new firmware will bring Galaxy A50 to more closer to its upper models like Galaxy A70, Galaxy A80 & Galaxy A90, which comes in same barrier. At the end of last month, company had released important update to the device along with Galaxy A30 & Galaxy M20 smartphones. This time it brings May Android security patch level to the device with couple of new features and improvements to the existing ones. Pre-Ordered Galaxy Fold Customers Getting Reward Points
Samsung hasn’t clear when it will re-launch Galaxy Fold into the market. It might take another month or a month & half for its reappearance & Samsung media person has already declared that they are doing their best to make it happen in the next month. Though there are some customers who are losing their patience and cancelling their pre-orders. Now to stop them from cancelling their Galaxy Fold pre-orders, company is now sending reward points to all the customers. As per the 2 points for $1 purchase value, customers are getting points for their spending on the Fold. Customers can get maximum $20 ($1=200 points) value of points on single purchase and they can redeem them later. Many customers have been complaining on Samsung forum and other portals so company has decided to give reward points as goodwill gesture.
We don’t think reward points will change mind of customers as they have invested nearly $1980 on the product, which is too expensive than any other smartphone. Still the news, customers can use these reward points on their checkout when they purchase Samsung products from the official website. Anyway, if you have pre-ordered Galaxy Fold then you can check for your reward points in your Samsung account.
Last week, Samsung has sent email to all the customers who have been pre-ordered Galaxy Fold. In the email it had clearly said users must confirm to keep their orders to avail the product when it available into market. Later in the interview, Samsung spokesperson said company is working to release it in the next month. There is no fix date for the release but we think Samsung may soon announce the date.
This time Galaxy Fold is again in the production house for testing and changing some parts to make sure this time everything goes well. Samsung is focusing on main issue of device so it could prevent from damaging screen from outside dust and other obstacles. This time protective layer will be made of better screen protector so users will use it for longer than just one day. Android Pie Update Now Rolling Out on Galaxy J7 Prime 2 In India
Samsung is now rolling out Android Pie update to its mid-range smartphone Galaxy J7 Prime 2. The latest firmware is currently available in India with May 1st Android security patch level. The new version will bring One UI interface to the device with G611FFDDU1CSD8 changelog to the firmware and it counts 1032 MB in size. This month Samsung has released new update to Galaxy J4+ & Galaxy On7 Prime smartphones with the same May Android security patch level. It is the fourth device to get May security update after which recently rolled out on Galaxy Note 8 & Galaxy A9 & On7 Prime smartphones.
Samsung was promised to provide Android Pie to Galaxy j7 Prime 2 in the month of June, but today, surprisingly it delivered new firmware changelog to this mid-range smartphone. Google Pay Badly Damaged In Android Q Beta Version
The latest Android Q Beta program is now available and enthusiastic users can enroll for that. Yet there is waiting of few more months for the release of stable version, users can enjoy all the features with this beta program. However, this Android Q Beta 3 program is not free from bugs and flaws. Many users who are enrolled for this version have reported issues of bugs which includes breakdown of Google Pay. Some users have already complained that Google has removed support of Android Beam which were allowed users to share pictures & other documents in easy way.
Now users have reported trouble in Google Pay, who are enrolled with the beta release. Probably the problem occurs due to the SafetyNet issue which was also happened at the release of Android P last year. Many users on Reddit are started to complaining that Google Pay is broken on their device and it is not working while paying through it.

“Google pay worked on all betas for me, tried to pay for coffee this morning after downloading beta 3 last night, no dice.
I don’t mind so much the bugs, I do mind that I couldn’t get coffee (now carry my card around since lunch as I went wallet-less over 2 years ago)”
And the Chittim says:
“Looks like it might be an intermittent issue – it worked yesterday for me at a Whole Foods, but then not this morning at a Dunkin Donuts saying “you can no longer use Google pay at stores” message.”

As we can assume that this problem occurs due to the device not passed the SafetyNet test. Where all the users whose device has passed the test are happy with the features and didn’t complaint about the malfunction of Google Pay, but there are very few of them. Thus Google is clear in its beta release program, appearance of such issues is unfortunate and we should hope that Google will fix the issue as early as possible. This is Beta version so Google developers can do very little about the issue so we hope they will solve it in next beta version.

Customers Must Confirm To Keep Galaxy Fold Orders, Says Samsung
There are the issues regarding durability of the screen of Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone, just after the device was available for the reviewers. They reported the issue about breaking of the display. This issue raises the question about the sustainability of the screen of the foldable device and it’s response to repeated foldings and unfolding. However, there are speculations that the issue happening due to the removal of the protective layer of the screen that comes with the device. Samsung mentioned that this protective layer is to save the screen from unwanted scratches and removing it may cause damage.
Samsung apologizes for the delays happened in the shipment of Galaxy Fold device and provides the option of order cancellation for those who can’t wait much long. If you don’t cancel your orders before device is being shipped, then if the devices are not shipped by 31st May all the pre-orders will be cancelled automatically.
