Samsung has officially introduced ECG & BP functions on Galaxy Watch Active 2. Since then, all the Galaxy Watch series smartwatches are receiving these features. It was first launched in South Korea, and later slowly entered many countries. Still, there are many regions left behind where these essential health functions are not available. India is also one of those countries where Samsung’s Galaxy Watches never came with ECG & BP functions.
Samsung has this week announced its new Galaxy Watch 5 & Watch 5 Pro smartwatches. The new watches got a couple of new features with major upgrades in hardware parts. The watches will soon launch in major countries, and India is one of them.
The biggest Indian e-retailer Amazon has now listed Galaxy Watch 5 & Watch 5 Pro on its website. It has teased products in the ‘Coming Soon’ category, but it revealed many aspects of the watches. In the specifications, you can clearly see ECG & BP functions are not highlighted.
Further, Samsung’s India website has also posted both products, and it has mentioned these health functions. Yes, when you read the legal terms, it mentioned that it will only be available in supported countries.
It means, Indian users still have to wait to get these functions on Galaxy Watches. Like India, the BP function is still missing in the US. There is no official date when these functions will be available in the remaining countries, but hope it comes this year.
