Gear S3 & Gear Sport Now Receiving Active 2 Features

The older smartwatches from Samsung, Gear S3 & Gear Sport, are now receiving Galaxy Watch Active 2 features. The update has previously dispatched to Galaxy Watch & Watch Active. Gear S3 is the flagship watch of 2016 & Gear Sport is from 2017, and now in the latest updates, the company is making them more advanced. Samsung has now launched Bixby on both the devices as a voice assistant service. The company has already declared its previous S Voice service will no longer active from June 1st so that the Bixby will take place. With the new voice assistant, users can set a goal & start workout routines and tell the time difference between two cities.

Samsung has added various emoticons that can set different skin colors to the screen. The Progress Indicator will allow you to open the previous app. It is helpful when you are using an exercise record and leaves it to go to the other section; then, by just tapping on the Progress indicator, you can re-open the app. Samsung Health has received new Lap time recording for running & cycling sessions. Also, users can see daily activity information & automatic swim detection in Samsung Health. Along with it, the update has improved Power Saving Mode, Always-on Display, timer & stopwatch for enhanced results.

The arrangement of icons on the quick panel has now changed for more effortless customization. Overall, Samsung has improvised these older smartwatches by giving Active 2 features & improvements to the existing functions. The firmware version R76*XXU2FTD4 released for Gear S3 Classic & frontier and the version R600XXU1CTD3 is for Gear Sport. The update is currently rolling out in Samsung’s home country & the US. Soon it will hit the other regions in the stages.
