These days Garmin is going through many challenges in its software updates for various watches. In the past, Garmin has to halt software releases for Fenix 6, Fenix 7 & Epix Gen 2 watches due to software failure. The battery drain, performance issue, audio issue, and functions not working properly are major problems in that firmware. After that, Garmin released a stable 21.80 version for Fenix 6 series and an 8.35 version for Fenix 7 & Epix 2 smartwatches.
The stable version is supposed to solve all the issues on these devices but some devices are still suffering. It is what Garmin’s latest software indicates. Now by stopping the stable 8.35 version, Garmin has suddenly rolled out the 8.37 firmware version.
The new firmware version is rolling out for Fenix 7 series and Epix Gen 2 watches. After installing the previous 8.35 version, some users were facing a battery drain problem. It means the battery problem is still haunting the company, so they suddenly switch to newer software.
Still, we don’t know if the current version solves the critical issues on the Fenix 7 series. If you want to install it, then you can download it from your smartwatch. Make sure to backup your watch data before installing it.
Along with previous fixes, the changelog mentions Garmin has fixed poor cycling VO2 Max and performance condition estimates. All the other changelog is the same as before. The update is rolling out for the first 10% of users, and the remaining will get it soon.
