Samsung has finally started to roll out Android 11 based One UI 3.0 beta version for the Galaxy Z Flip smartphone. It became the first foldable phone to receive the latest beta firmware, and that is for both 5G & LTE variants. Users can expect all the features of new Android 11 version in the latest software, along with Samsung’s One UI 3.0 flavour. The update is now open in South Korea and soon we can expect it in the other countries.
To participate in the beta program you can refer Samsung Members app. In the app, you will see official announcement banner, signup and install it on your Z Flip 5G/LTE.
Two weeks ago, Samsung had stopped rolling out beta firmware for the older flagships, along with the Z Flip & Z Fold 2 devices. The major issues were found in the code that causes faster battery consumption, app crashes and S Pen issues. It is the reason Samsung postponed every upcoming beta roll outs, even when Z Flip was started to getting it.
Now, the Beta Operation Manager has confirmed that company has fixed all those issues and the remaining devices will get the One UI 3.0 beta firmwares in this week. Those remaining devices are Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e and Galaxy Z Fold 2. The Galaxy Note Moderator has also confirmed that Galaxy Note 10 series will get second beta update for One UI 3.0 in the current week.
