One UI 5.0 Beta will Release in the Third Week of July

Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update will bring many new features to the Galaxy devices. Even though we don’t have much information about the key feature, now we know when we will get it. Courtesy of sources at SamMobile, Samsung will start the One UI 5.0 beta program in the third week of July. The same sources had previously reported the July launch date, and now, they are more confident about the third week of July.

Further, the trusted website also claims that the public release or the stable version of One UI 5.0 software will be distributed in October 2022. The Galaxy S22 series will be the first smartphone to join the beta testing program.

We also found the Galaxy S22 One UI 5.0 beta firmware build-up last week. It indicates Samsung is moving fast to launch the next beta program. After Galaxy S22, the previous Galaxy S21, Galaxy Fold 3, Flip 3, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy S20 will get the beta version.

One UI 5.0 Beta Release Date

Last year, the company opened a beta testing program in mid-September. The final release of One UI 4.0 had released in early November for Galaxy S21 series. This time, the beta version will roll out much earlier than the regular timeframe, and the same goes for a final stable update.

As per the previous schedule, the Android 13 One UI 5.0 beta will first start in South Korea. After that, in the same week, it will open in the US, Germany, UK, and India. Samsung might also open a beta testing program in more countries.

  • Galaxy S23 Ultra may not Get New 200MP Camera Sensor

Galaxy S23 Ultra may not Get New 200MP Camera Sensor

In early August, Samsung will launch Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Flip 4 smartphones with advanced features. All are waiting for the next foldable phone, but that doesn’t stop rumors from writing about the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone. The next successor of the Galaxy S22 Ultra has now received its first rumor and that is not in a favor of users. The latest camera sensor which Samsung has launched recently is not coming for S23 Ultra.

This month, Samsung has introduced an advanced 200MP sensor, the ISOCELL HP3, the most advanced camera sensor from the company. Earlier rumors stated, that the company may use this sensor in its upcoming flagship smartphone, but it may not come true.

According to the Ice Universe, Galaxy S23 Ultra will not adopt the new ISOCELL HP3 200MP sensor. It doesn’t provide the details behind it, but the explanation comes from Notebookcheck. Here is the reason according to Notebookcheck:

    Galaxy S23 Ultra Camera News
    Image: Galaxy S22 Ultra

According to Ice Universe, Samsung will not equip the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the new 200 MP ISOCELL HP3 after all. A quick look at the HP3’s spec sheet provides the reason: the new 200 MP sensor is not designed for flagship use.

For one, it’s a 1/1.4-inch sensor, making it smaller than the 1/1.33-inch HM3 on the S22 Ultra. The 200 MP HP3 features 0.56 μm native pixels, versus the HM3’s 0.8 μm pixels, and even after 16-in-1 binning on the HP3, the HM3 remains ahead at 2.4 μm, versus the new sensor’s 2.24 μm.

Garmin may soon Release Wearables with ECG & BP Features

All across the world, users applauses Garmin for its high-end products and advanced functions. With the premium products like Fenix & Forerunner series, the company has earned a huge fanbase. Still, some features are missing on Garmin smartwatches and other fitness trackers. Garmin still has to announce its products with ECG & blood pressure functions. Most of us think Fenix 7 series will fill the gap, but that didn’t happen.

Now as per the new patent filed by Garmin, it is one step closer to introducing ECG & blood pressure features. The patent was first spotted by the Gadgets & Wearable website in the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), which shows Garmin is near to launching these functions.

The patent describes a Garmin smartwatch that can track ECG measurements. The paperwork describes two electrical contact points. The one is located on a bezel or physical button, and the second one is on the back side that contacts with wearer’s skin.

The patent has also mentioned BP measurement on the smartwatch. There are not many details about the second one, but the source claims it is an on-demand service and may have two contact points. More clarification will come from the company in the coming weeks or months.

In a market, all the premium smartwatches have ECG & BP features in most of the major countries. Samsung first launched it on Galaxy Watch Active 2, Apple on Watch Series 4, Fitbit with Fitbit Sense, and now even Amazfit has these features. • Expert RAW app for Older Galaxy Phones will Take More Time

Expert RAW app for Older Galaxy Phones will Take More Time

The Expert RAW app was announced last year, and later this February, it launched for Galaxy S22 series. Later, Samsung brought it to Galaxy S21 Ultra & Galaxy Fold 3 smartphones. As per the official announcement, now only Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra & Fold 2 devices are left behind. The company has promised to release the Expert RAW app for these remaining devices before the first half of this year. Now the curious users are asking about the release date and Samsung has finally answered it.

According to the Camera in Charge at the Samsung community, the Expert RAW app for Galaxy S20, Note 20 & Fold 2 will take some more time. He further said, there may be one month delay in the release of the Expert RAW app for these older models.

The Camera in Charge doesn’t explain why there is a delay but says the app may release within a month. The app will be distributed with the next firmware update, which could be Samsung’s July update.

    Expert RAW App Release

After Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 Ultra, only Galaxy Z Fold 3 received app support last May. Sadly, the app doesn’t support previous foldable phones except Fold 2, and other flagship models excluding Ultra models.

  • Fossil may have Again Postponed Wear OS 3.0 Release Date

Fossil may have Again Postponed Wear OS 3.0 Release Date

Since the second half of 2021, Fossil has been promising users to release the latest Wear OS 3.0 update for its smartwatches. At launching, it first made a word to distribute Google’s latest software in early 2022. When we entered the new year, then the official person answered later in mid-2022. Earlier this month, when a Twitter user asked about the actual release date, the company replied that the update will dispatch at June end or early July.

Now, the irony is Fossil has suddenly deleted all the answers from its Twitter account. We don’t know when the official person has deleted all the tweets related to the upcoming Wear OS 3 version, but you will not find any of them.

In the answer, the Fossil team had officially confirmed the major update will roll out at the end of June or early July. It means the release would have happened in the next two to three weeks. Now disappearing tweets raise many questions. Has the company again postponed the release date?

    Source: Fossil (Deleted)

In the tweet, Fossil also claimed to bring new software to the previous Fossil Gen 5 series. Now, when there is a doubt about Gen 6, then for sure, previous watches have to wait a little longer if the company has planned to release a new version for Gen 5.

We have already said, it is not the first time company pushed it to later dates. It is almost one year for Fossil Gen 6 in the market, and still, it is running on Wear OS 2.x software. On the other hand, Galaxy Watch 4 series is preparing itself for the big Wear OS 3.5-based One UI 4.5 update.
