    Galaxy Watch & Galaxy Watch Active Gets Active2 Features

    Samsung is now releasing a new firmware update for the Galaxy Watch Active & Galaxy Watch smartwatches. It activates the ‘Touch Bezel’ function on the Galaxy Watch Active on the smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch Active was the only Samsung smartwatch that launched without a touch bezel feature. Now with the new software update, Samsung is finally enabling the function to allow users to navigate using finger swipe around the bezel.

    The latest firmware version R500XXU1CSK3 is rolling out in the US & South Korea, soon it will enter to the other regions. Apart from that, Samsung has introduced Galaxy Watch Active 2 features to the Galaxy Watch Active & Galaxy Watch models.

    The software version R810XXU1CSK2 and R800XXU1CSK2 are now releasing on Galaxy Watch LTE & Wi-Fi models. The company has improved Bixby’s voice, which is now able to tell you to start exercise routines and time differences between the two cities. It now also supports British English, French, German, Italian & Spanish languages.

    The watch face customization has now come to these two smartwatches. The users can now take a picture and turn it into the watch faces. Samsung has introduced 24 new sub-dials and complications along with 17 already available. You can now use new emojis on the smartwatch to make better conversation.

    The Low Heart Rate feature is now supported on Galaxy Watch as a part of the heart monitoring suite. Samsung said the latest firmware version will dispatch region-by-region in the coming days and today the US & South Korean users are receiving it.     Samsung has pushed the 2nd Android 10 beta update for Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+ smartphones. The update brings many fixes to the previous bugs and improves the user experience. The firmware update N97*FXXU1ZSK8 is releasing in South Korea and India that counts nearly 771MB in size. The other Galaxy S10 series has already received its 4th beta update and as per the report, it is on the final stage to get a stable Android 10 version.

    The notable changes into the second beta version are that it has now fixed screen flickering & Always-on Display issues. The noise issues while connecting Bluetooth devices have been taken care of in the latest firmware and the gesture interaction has improved. Apart from that, it has fixed various problems on the device to enhance overall quality. The newest firmware has brought November 1st Android security patch.

    Now moving to the other news, the Beta Operation Manager for Samsung Community South Korea has confirmed that this week Galaxy Note 9 is getting an Android 10 based OneUI 2.0 beta version.

    Update: Microsoft has launched a dedicated Outlook app for all Samsung smartwatches. This month on October 7th, Microsoft announced support for Galaxy wearables, where you could receive and reply to the incoming Outlook emails. Now Microsoft Outlook is a dedicated app and available in Galaxy Store with all the original features. The app is currently landed in the US and in the near future it will release in all other countries. You can download it from Samsung Galaxy Store through a paired smartphone or from the Galaxy or Gear smartwatch.

    As promised, Microsoft has announced Outlook support for Samsung Gear & Galaxy watches, including new Galaxy Watch Active & Watch Active 2. In the new update for Outlook for Android, Microsoft released support for Samsung wearables. Now users can get emails from their Outlook account right to their smartwatches. Users can view the message and act on them accordingly. Before the update, Samsung smartwatch & other wearable users were enabled to get the notifications from any Microsoft apps, but now Outlook is exceptional to it. It will hit alert on the Galaxy Watch when there is a new email from the Outlook.

    In the latest update, Microsoft has made some changes to the look of messages that will show more details, which are essential for the receivers. It will show the time & the location in the notification when someone sends you a message regarding appointment or meetings.

Microsoft has increased the security level of the Outlook for Android by adding the S/MIME layer. It enables users to sign digitally & encrypt their emails. The update has now rolled out in Google Play Store.

    The Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones will soon get the One UI 2.0 Beta with Android 10. The official banner has now posted by Community Manager in Samsung Member’s app in South Korea. It has confirmed the beta version is “Coming Soon” in the country for the Galaxy Note 10 5G & Note 10+ 5G. Samsung has already delayed the Note 10’s Android 10 Beta program due to some internal problems. It supposed to release on October 21 in the first place but that didn’t happen. Now the official post from the Samsung team will assure the Android 10 Beta version is coming soon for the Note 10 series.

    Other Galaxy S10 series smartphone users are now slowly getting their hands on the beta program. It is now available in South Korea, Uk, Germany, Poland, Spain & in the US. The Indian Galaxy S10 users have to wait for a while to test the version as it has postponed for a later date. First, it had scheduled to October 21st along with other few countries but due to the errors, it has now delayed without any confirmed date.

    One UI 2.0 Beta with Android 10 for Galaxy Note 10 series will open soon in other countries. You can join the program using the Samsung Members app. As for South Korea, the Galaxy Note 10 & Note 10+ phones would get the Beta version after it hits to the Note 10 5G models.     Samsung has quietly launched One UI 2.0 Beta with Android 10 program for few selected users in India. The Indian users with Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ & Galaxy S10e can join the program if they have invited by the company. The users called Brand Ambassador who are close to the company in many ways and help users on Samsung Members app is now getting their hands on the new Android 10 beta testing program. Samsung has already released it in South Korea, Germany & the US. If you go to the Samsung Members app or website page in India then you will not see banner or invitation link, but some users are now saying that they are getting invitations from the Samsung to join the program before any one else.

    The one user who is brand ambassador at Samsung Members app has shared the information and sent the screenshot of his new Galaxy S10. Many users have now confirmed it and installed new firmware version on their smartphones.

    South Korea was the first country to get the new version on their Galaxy S10 series smartphones. Later, the company has released it in the US & Germany. In the first phase, only 1000 users were invited to the beta testing but later on October 14 it released for all Galaxy S10 series users. The Galaxy S10 5G will get it soon as South Korean Samsung community page has now posted a banner with ‘Coming Soon’.     Xiaomi has started to seed a new software update on its Mi band 4 fitness tracker that adds auto screen off feature. Since, the last few weeks, users were talking about the latest version and finally, they have a chance to use it in real. The users in Turkey are first to witness the new firmware on their modern tracker. The firmware version 1.0.7.04 is now pushing that can change the behavior of screen time out. Users can alter the screen time out setting as they need and by default, it will set to 5 seconds. The other settings in the screen time out delay is 6,7,8,9 & 10 seconds.

    In the last software, Xiaomi has added custom watch faces & improved swim tracking to the wearable. As per the user’s demand, Mi asked users to submit their favorite watch faces that they want to see on their bands.

    Yesterday, Samsung announced the Galaxy Fold in India for the price of Rs. 1,64,999. It makes the Galaxy Fold one of the most expensive devices in the country. The Galaxy Fold in India will go on pre-order from October 4 & it will dispatch on October 20th. Now after India, Samsung has announced Fold for the middle east. The company has sent the emails to pre-registered users that the Galaxy Fold will go on pre-order from October 6. The pre-orders will start in five Gulf countries, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain & Kuwait.

    The email doesn’t reveal the price for the Galaxy Fold in these countries through the official page has revealed it will charge SGD200 for premium service. We think Samsung will unveil the price & availability in the coming days as October 6 is near. Last month, Samsung launched the device in South Korea, the US & major European countries. This month, the company will launch it in India, UAE & Australia. The pre-registration for the Fold in Australia has already started so that the company will announce the launch date in Australia in the next few days.

    The latest Samsung Galaxy A70 software update comes with a support to Type-C headset. The USB Type-C headset will allow you to connect to the charging port by using a USB-C on your smartphone. These headphones came into the light when most of the companies abandoned headphone jacks for the wireless earphones. Samsung started it with Galaxy S8 & S8+ support for Type-c headsets and new Galaxy S10 series also supports it. The Galaxy A70 has 3.5mm jack to connect headphones, but still, Samsung updated the phone for the support to Type-C headset.

    The new firmware A705GMDDU3ASI2 is now rolling out in India, and it counts 648MB weights. It brings the latest Android’s September 2019 security patch. It is a major update for Galaxy A70 after the Night mode feature with a QR code scanner seeded on the device. The other notable changes on the device are improvements to the camera & fingerprint recognition. It enhances camera picture quality & to improve the performance of fingerprint recognition. Also, as per the changelog, the overall stability of the functions & total security of the device has enhanced by fixing minor issues.

    Like some previous Samsung updates, the company has installed Booking & Snapchat apps on the Galaxy A70. If you don’t want them then you can uninstall both apps to free some memory. As the pre-registration has started in these countries (release date confirmed in India) we can expect the launch date is imminent. Samsung has officially confirmed October 1st as the launch date for the Galaxy Fold in India. The company has also sent invitations to media persons for the launch event, and the Samsung India page for Galaxy Fold is now taking pre-registrations.

    The quantities will also in limited orders and the customers have to visit Samsung Stores or authorized partners to get their Galaxy Fold. Samsung has already declared that the company will not sell this product online and customers must pre-order to get it from the Samsung Stores or selected retail outlets. The Galaxy Fold will be the most expensive smartphone in India, even costlier than some iPhone models.

    Samsung has pushed new software update for Galaxy Fit e tracker that added couple of features to enhance the performance. The new firmware version is R375XXU0ASI3 and only counts 1.81MB in size. The new version has added three main features to the tracker. The first two features are – new clock shape, and the brightness & timeout settings have been added. The third one is – heart rate measurement settings has added to the tracker with the 10 minutes default setting. In addition, Samsung has added few new watch faces to the band to customize the look. You can install & set these new watch faces using the Galaxy Wearable app.

    The update is currently rolling out in Turkey via OTA and soon it will hit in other markets. To get the latest update on your Samsung Galaxy Fit e, go to Wearable app, then open Settings and upgrade your band to the latest software.

    Xiaomi has released a new update for Mi Band 4 to improve its quality. The update was released in China that brings more than 18 custom watch faces on the fitness band and improved swim tracking score. The small firmware is hitting on the band with version 1.0.6.16 to improve the overall quality & it is now available in China for both NFC & non-NFC versions. The users reported swim tracking has improved a lot, and you will see the difference under the water.

    Earlier, the company has conducted data for the new watch faces to introduce them to the fitness band. Users had a choice to choose watch faces design from different categories & submit them.     Samsung has released new improvement updates to its two A series of smartphones. The Galaxy A30 & Galaxy A70 is now receiving new firmware to improve the overall quality of the devices. The firmware version A705FNXXU3ASH4 is now rolling out in Spain with the August security patch. The Galaxy A30 gets the A305GNDXU2ASI1 firmware version with the August security patch and it is now available in Philippines, Algeria, UK & Bangladesh.

    Samsung Galaxy A70 is getting this major update after when it received Night Mode update in July. In August it hasn’t received any major updates, except August security patch. In the new software, Samsung has focused on two main areas. The Touch screen performance of the device and the Fingerprint recognition performance that has been improved. In the last few updates Samsung has improved Fingerprint performance on its all mid-range smartphones and the previous Galaxy A50 update was one of them. Also, many users have witnessed better battery life after installing this version.

    Galaxy A30 Update

    The other Galaxy A30 is now getting long waited software update in many countries. The firmware was supposed to release in July (only released in India) but due to some reasons, Samsung postponed it. Now nearly after two & half months users are receiving it. The new version improves the charger/USB port’s moisture detection algorithm along with it has improved the overall stability of functions.

    The Galaxy A70 firmware is available to download in Spain and soon it will come to your country. The Galaxy A30 firmware has rolled out in Philippines, Algeria, UK & Bangladesh so you can check your device for the latest version.     Samsung has decided to shut down its SideSync app & the services from October 15. SideSync is a Samsung service that allows users to share their smartphone’s screen and data with pc or tablet. The app has 50+ millions of downloads in the Android Play Store. One of the reasons Samsung decided to disconnect the app because of its Samsung Flow app that replaces all the functions of SideSync. The Samsung Flow allows all the smartphone as well as Galaxy Watch users to connect with their other devices in a secure way. At this moment, Samsung has only 5+ millions of downloads in the Play Store but after the termination of SideSync, more users probably use it.

    Last year, SideSync was removed from Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ devices to give room for Samsung Flow that later received screen sharing update. Now all the users are receiving notifications to inform them the app will officially no longer available to use from October 15th.     It has mentioned that the users can use Samsung Flow after the shut down of the app. Recently, Samsung has disconnected its shopping app Samsung Mall in India and now the company has decided to shut its another app from the store.     Samsung has pushed new software for the Galaxy A50 smartphone. The firmware version A505GNDXU3ASH4 is rolling out in the Philippines along with the August security patch that weighs 210.70 MB in size. The new version improves the moisture detection algorithm on the phone. The charger/USB port’s moisture detection algorithm has introduced to make sure the USB port or charger charges the phone battery without causes any problems. It was first introduced on Galaxy S7 device and recently Samsung rolled out moisture detection update on Galaxy A30 in its July update.

    The other notable improvements are the improvements in the performance of the touch screen and the stability of Knox guard. In the recent update Samsung has taken care of Fingerprint sensor which now responds much faster. The new version is available to install in the Philippines and soon it will hit in the other countries.     Samsung Galaxy A50 is company’s one of the most selling smartphone in the Galaxy A series. That is the reason the company always tries to improve user experience by seeding new updates every month, and Night Mode update in June was one of them. Every month we have seen 2 major upgrades for the device, either to improve overall quality, to secure the device with the latest security patch or to add some new features (in the last version user’s got Snapchat app).

    Samsung has canceled all the existing Galaxy Fold pre-orders in the US, and as a goodwill gesture, it is giving $250 credits to all customers. These are the customers who had pre-ordered Galaxy Fold in April and again later they have confirmed to wait for the re-release date when Samsung asked to confirm the mail till the end of May 31st. Today all the customers have received emails from the company clearly stated that the company has terminated all previous pre-orders and customers will no longer receive their Galaxy Fold. For that, they have to order it again when the company re-launch it in the US, which is September 27th.

    Most of the customers would not be happy with this decision. It is good that they are getting $250 Samsung credit but customers want their product as they had been promised by the company. Now again they will have to stay in the line to get Galaxy Fold and due to limited stocks, many of them might not get one. There is a news the company will sale it in the retail stores instead of official website.

While not an easy decision to make, we believe that this is the right thing to do.”

    On September 6th Samsung will officially launch Galaxy Fold in South Korea and later France, Germany, Singapore, and the UK on September 18th. The US has September 27th official date for Galaxy Fold when customers can again purchase it. The customers who have received $250 Samsung credit, can use it to purchase any item on Samsung’s website or they can use it while paying to Galaxy Fold at the checkout when getting the product. Also, the customers who have paid for Galaxy Fold in the recent will receive their paid amount.
