After finishing all the flagship models of the current & previous year, Samsung has now turned to mid-range devices. The good part is the company has skipped the One UI 3.0 update for the 4G model and directly installed the latest One UI 3.1 version.     The notable features according to the changelog are, the visual design has an enhanced main screen & quick dashboard to reduce any distraction and highlight essential information. After the update, users can use Nearby Sharing to send the files instead of the Wi-Fi Direct feature.

    In the new firmware update, the year-old Galaxy Buds+ earbuds have received an auto-switching function. The function is first introduced on Galaxy Buds Pro, and last month it has launched on Galaxy Buds Live. Along with it, the Buds+ receives a Buds Control menu in the Bluetooth settings to make the controlling easy for users. The firmware version R175FXXU0AUB3 is currently rolling out in the US, India & South Korea for now.

    The Auto-switch feature will allow you to automatically switch between your Galaxy devices like phone & tablet. For example when you are watching videos or streaming songs on one device and the other device receives a phone call then the earbuds will automatically connect to the phone call. It saves time to re-pairing your Galaxy Buds+ with the smartphone. At this moment it only supports Galaxy devices that run on One U1 3.1 software version.

    In the market only flagship models are running on the One UI 3.1 version, so slowly more Galaxy devices will get this support. The Voice Detect which allows users to temporarily switch from ANC to Ambient mode is now more ready at its service.

    The Voice Detect function is in active mode while using earbuds you are talking with another person. That time, it automatically dates ts when the users need to listen to other person or other objects, so it could switch it to Ambient mode. Again, when there is no talking for the next few seconds it will switch back to ANC. In the firmware, the Ambient sound itself gets extra treatment to enhance its capabilities.

The schedule has mentioned flagship Galaxy S20 series devices will get the stable version in the current month. Well, till now, we didn’t know the exact release date, but now, the official Samsung rep has given us a date. According to the answer by the Samsung support team in South Korea, the company will release the stable Android 11 version tomorrow, December 3.

    It is too fast than I have expected that most of us were thinking it could release in between the middle of December. Samsung has already stopped releasing One UI 3.0 beta updates for the Galaxy S20 lineup in South Korea, so we can see the official release to happen tomorrow. The other flagship models Galaxy Note 20 & Note 20 Ultra might also get a stable One UI 3.0 version in December. On the official website, Samsung has previously given us a hint about both devices getting newer versions.

    I know, first I thought, it could be a mistake by a newly joined representative, but more than one customer has received the same answer. Now, is it true or we have to take it as a grain of salt? Last year, when Galaxy S8 users asked the same questions about Android 10, they also had received ‘Yes’ answers, though the company never released it. It could be true with Galaxy S9 & S9+, as it has recently upgraded to the One UI 2.5 version, but there could be less chance for the Galaxy S8 family.
