After the release of the Android Pie update for Samsung Galaxy J7 Pie insignificant countries, finally, it comes to India. Two weeks ago it was rolled out in Russia, followed by Spain, Mexico, Algeria, and some other countries. Yesterday, in India Galaxy A8 Star has started getting Android Pie update that carries G885FOLM2BSF7 firmware version, and now it is time for J7 Pro users. The firmware version J730GMDXU6CSF7 hit the market with May 1st security patch that counts 1087 MB size. It would be better if Samsung chose to give it with the June security patch. The latest piece will bring Samsung’s new One UI interface that replaces previous Experience UI.
The update is now rolling out so it may hit on your device in few hours or the next day. If you want to check it manually, then go to, Settings on your J7 Pro & tap on Software Update and then Download & Install. Samsung has already a new version on Galaxy J7 Nxt, Galaxy J8, J6, J4 and other Galaxy A series smartphones.
Last month, Samsung covered all its latest mid-range smartphones with a new security patch along with the Pie version. The Galaxy M series and Galaxy J7 2018 series have received updates in last month. On the other hand, Galaxy J7 Pro & J7 Nxt are the only 2017’s models that have undergone Pie version among its other J7 series models. And it is the first smartphone in June to get the Pie version as per the Samsung schedule. We can hope soon other J7 series smartphones will get this software in the coming weeks.
Earlier, Samsung Galaxy M10, M20, and Galaxy M30 have received an Android Pie update for India. Now the company is rolling out the latest software version for these devices worldwide. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy M40 smartphone with an inbuilt Android Pie version. Now the recent update for the previous devices makes the Galaxy M series compatible with the latest firmware version.
