  • Fossil Gen 6 Wear OS 3 Update will Release by End on June

Fossil Gen 6 Wear OS 3 Update will Release by End on June

The Twitter account of Fossil mentions, that the new Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch will receive Wear OS 3 at this month’s end. They have not revealed any exact date but speculated it for June end or early July. Previously, the same team has mentioned the major Wear OS 3 update for Gen 6 will release in the second half. Again it has been claimed that the rollout will begin as per promised. Further, it mentions Fossil Gen 5 will also have the same update later this year.

For Gen 5, the update may release in mid-summer or at the end of summer. We are not sure about the Fossil Gen smartwatch, but we hope Fossil should give it more power and a polished look.

It is almost one year since Wear OS 3 firmware update for Galaxy Watch 4 series. Since then, it is the only device to enjoy all the goodies and exclusive services of Google’s software. The Samsung smartwatches are now having Wear OS 3.5 beta update.

Further, many app developers have exclusively launched their apps for Wear OS 3. It is including Strava which has terminated support for Wear OS 2 version. It is good if both Fossil & Google work faster on their software updates.

Along with Fossil watches, Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 & Pro 3 Ultra will receive Wear OS 3 version later this year. With the next Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung will introduce a new software version or the stable version of the current One UI 4.5 beta version. Samsung may announce it as a Wear OS 4.0 with forward-looking features.

  • Samsung Confirmed Release of One UI 4.1.1 Version

Samsung Confirmed Release of One UI 4.1.1 Version

The GoodLock moderator at the Samsung Community site in South Korea has today confirmed the One UI 4.1.1 version. It is another year when Samsung will not release a major One UI update. The moderator has answered a question of users who are facing issues with the Wonderland module. In the answer, he confirmed the fix will come in One UI 4.1.1 firmware. The update may be scheduled to launch in August with the next foldable phones.

The One UI 4.1.1 hints we will see a couple of new features and some changes to the existing features. Last year too, the company released One UI 3.1.1 software for Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Flip 3. Later, it was distributed to other Galaxy tablets.

If we go with the last year, then after foldable phones it will only release for selected Galaxy tablets. The other flagship models like Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S22 series & Galaxy Note 20 series will receive some of its features, but their software versions will not change.

    One UI 4.1.1 Version

The upcoming One UI 4.1.1 software features will be disclosed in Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Flip 4 smartphones. At this moment, we haven’t received any breaking features, but with time, more leakers will find them.

Currently, Samsung is busy rolling out the One UI 4.1 version for the remaining smartphones. Further, it has conducted One UI Watch 4.5 version for Galaxy Watch 4 series. There is also news Samsung will open the Android 13 One UI 5 beta program in July.

  • Google’s Contacts App now Supports Galaxy Watch 4

Google’s Contacts App now Supports Galaxy Watch 4

After Google Assistant, another Google app has come to Galaxy Watch 4 series. Google’s Contact app now supports Galaxy Watch 4 series in the latest update. The app is available for other Wear OS smartwatches, and now after a break, it finally comes for Samsung watches. With the Contacts app, users can easily take backup of their phone numbers and synchronize them across all their devices.

The latest version for Watch 4 doesn’t add much value. In this version, you can only download it to synchronize all your smartphone contacts to the smartwatch. If you have previously stored contacts in the Google cloud, then you can sync them to the Galaxy Watch 4. Yes, you can search any contacts using the search option.

Apart from that, for now, there is nothing to discuss. It won’t let you create a new contact, add email, categorize them, or label them. Maybe in the next few updates, Google will add new features to the app. It also does not let you delete or edit existing contacts from the watch.

On the smartphone version, it safely takes backup of all the contacts in your phone, tablets, and computer and stores them in Google account-linked cloud. It is not the only benefit of the Contacts app. You can also sort contacts as per your need and label them.

Google has already announced it will bring more apps and services to the Wear OS 3-based Samsung watches, and the Contact app is one of them. It makes sense that Samsung’s latest smartwatches contribute largely to the Wear OS platform. You can download the Contacts app from Play Store on your Galaxy Watch 4 or paired smartphone.

Galaxy Watch 5 Series Revealed in Samsung App, no Classic Variant

Along with the One UI Watch 4.5 beta update, Samsung has also upgraded other essential apps. Samsung Health is one of those apps to receive a new beta version. After the installation, the new app version is now revealing a couple of upcoming features. Yesterday, we covered the skin temperature feature spotted in the app. Now, 9to5google has revealed upcoming Galaxy watches have listed in the app. In the finding, Galaxy Watch 5 & Watch 5 Pro have listed the compatible devices.

The unreleased devices have been added before their launch date, which is in July or August. It reveals only two watches when there are supposed to be three. Many sources have previously reported “Classic” variant will be discontinued this year. The rumors might be true as we can’t find a classic model.

We are not sure for now, or later Samsung may add a Classic variant. The previous rumors claimed Samsung will take care of battery life on new watches by placing bigger batteries. The Watch 5 Pro would be packed with 572mAh battery power.

Even the regular model will produce a good amount of juice to run for a day. Another big change would be the lack of touch rotating bezels from the smartwatches. To pack a larger battery, Samsung could leave a rotating bezel behind.

On the next Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Samsung may use sapphire glass to give a premium feel. As the company has started the One UI Watch 4.5 beta program for Galaxy Watch 4 series, we can see its stable version on the next watches. Samsung may hold the next event for the Watch 5 series at the end of May or in early August.
